Joshua Glucksman

Born in 2002, Joshua was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs. He was formally politicized in 2018 with the student climate movement and since has been involved with organizing for US racial justice and Jewish solidarity with Palestinians. He graduated with a BA in Religion and Environmental Studies from Middlebury College where he studied American neo-religion as well as sacred texts in Greek, Arabic, and Hebrew. He is recently excited by the politics of language, specifically Yiddish in contemporary Jewish life. As a Dorot Fellow, he plans on living in Al-Quds/Yerushelayem and continuing his studies of language, political resistance and joy, and Yiddish/Hasidic culture. In his free time, he loves participating in book and movie clubs, playing collaborative sports like basketball and volleyball, and singing or playing guitar.
