Leadership Development

To accomplish the Dorot Fellowship’s mission ("To enliven the American Jewish Landscape"), the DFI seeks to nurture the characteristics and help Fellows develop the skills necessary to exercise effective leadership.  Apart from the knowledge gained from living, learning and volunteering in Israeli society, the DFI provides Leadership Training that emphasizes the capacities of Emotional Intelligence (EI) as the fundamental building blocks necessary for the exercise of leadership.

Dorot Fellows work with the DFI Educators to identify, to measure, and to develop those EI capacities they most wish to broaden.  Both the Personal Learning Program and the DFI Learning Community provide the practice necessary for effective reflection and personal development of EI capacities.
