HOW TO APPLY Once you’ve reviewed the grantmaking areas and understand Intended Impact and Theory of Change, you’re ready to apply.
The Foundation uses a two-stage process for grant applications.
1. Submit a Letter of Inquiry. A Letter of Inquiry should be 2-3 pages long, not counting financial information, and should address the following topics. Letters of Inquiry are accepted on a rolling basis. Please send Letters of Inquiry by regular mail. A successful Stage One submission leads to… 2. A Full Proposal is requested when appropriate. A Full Proposal is generally 5-10 pages long, not counting financial information. It expands on the Letter of Inquiry and should address the following topics.
Completed proposals* fully addressing all of the listed topics are due by the date listed below.
*PLEASE NOTE: In order to be considered complete, your proposal, including exhibits, must be fully paginated.

The Board meets twice a year for grantmaking - generally Apr./May and Oct./Nov. The next Board meeting is scheduled for June 10, 2010. Completed proposals are due by March 12, 2010. Please allow time to submit a Letter of Inquiry, receive a response and submit a full proposal by the March 12, 2010 deadline.
